Creating attention-grabbing playables with great UX
DREST, a luxury fashion styling game, aimed to attract further high-quality users, increasing both IPM and ROAS for their title. They turned to Unity’s Ad Design Studio, a dedicated team of experts that helps studios of all sizes analyze and create ads for success across platforms and formats.
After confirming that it would be an effective choice for their audience, Unity’s Ad Design Studio recommended creating a playable ad to showcase DREST gameplay and engage players with an authentic in-game experience. As their game was fashion-focused, they needed to create a playable that was extremely visual, showing off the high-end fashion and decision-making mechanics that appealed to their audience.
DREST provided a video highlighting the game’s unique gameplay and designer items, which Unity’s Ad Design Studio used to develop a 3-tap playable ad. This ad allowed the user to choose between 3 different high-fashion items 3 times within the playable, for a highly customized and engaging experience.

In order to get a clear picture of performance and take their UA to the next level, Unity’s Ad Design Studio simultaneously tested the ad as both a standalone and a video + playable. They gave recommendations based on the video creatives that performed best and had the strongest results.
Mixing it up with playables and video ads
The results of their test revealed that the combination between video and playables performed best overall.
With this insight from the Ad Design Studio, DREST launched the combined video and playable campaign on Unity Ads and ironSource Ads and on Android and iOS in Australia (AU) and Canada (CA), before strategically expanding to the United States (US) and Great Britain (GB) on iOS to maximize impact. The campaign took off, especially in the US.

Creating lasting impact together
DREST began working with Unity’s Ad Design Studio in February 2025 and by March they were ready to launch their playable campaign. Just 4 months later, DREST’s IPM grew by 78%, while maintaining strong performance. They not only reached, but surpassed their ROAS KPIs. Seeing this success made DREST feel confident enough to double their ad spend for even better results.
After working on this campaign, DREST saw first-hand how valuable the Ad Design Studio’s expertise can be in crafting ads that resonate with DREST’s fashion-savvy audience.
