Unity Technologies Hires Ruth Ann Keene as General Counsel

Sep 12, 2016

San Francisco, September 12th - Unity Technologies announced that it has hired Ruth Ann Keene as general counsel. She joins from Autodesk where she was vice president and assistant general counsel and assistant secretary.

At Autodesk Keene oversaw worldwide litigation and intellectual property as well as the legal teams for the technical, product, cloud, and marketing groups. As general counsel, Keene will lead the global Unity Technologies legal team and report directly to CEO John Riccitiello.

“Ruth Ann’s extensive experience and expertise make her a perfect fit for Unity and the needs of our growing game development and services platform,” said John Riccitiello, CEO of Unity Technologies. “We are excited to have Ruth Ann on board and look forward to her valuable guidance as we grow and expand.”

Keene spent 11 years at Autodesk, makers of market-leading tools for the design, engineering, and entertainment industries. Before that, Keene held various roles in the technology transactions practice at Morrison & Foerster, LLP, a leader in providing cutting-edge legal advice on matters that are redefining practices and industries.

“It’s exciting to be able to join Unity, it’s not often you get to participate in a moment of exceptional growth like this,” said Ruth Ann Keene. “I look forward to being part of the Unity team as we scale our existing businesses and launch new products and services worldwide.”
