As Rouvy's application and user base rapidly grew, so did the demands from business and product teams to deliver new and dynamic content faster and more flexibly. Initially, these evolving requirements exposed limitations in the delivery pipeline, particularly the tight coupling of content logic to app releases. To address this, they introduced a modular content provider system, followed by a transition to a backend-for-frontend (BFF) architecture to decouple content delivery from deployment cycles.
In this presentation, hear from the Rouvy team: Matúš Kocka (Technical Director), Jan Bartošek (Tech Lead), Jan Jedlicka (Lead Architect), on how they achieved faster and more flexible content delivery, including:
- Addressing the challenges of dynamic content delivery
- Meeting the fast-moving business needs of product teams, and others
- Deep dive into how Rouvy's content provider system is built, and why it works
- The team's motivation for creating the BFF layer, and how they achieved it
