During early access, Unity Cloud storage was available for free on an unlimited basis to all Unity subscribers.
Now that early access has ended, Unity Cloud is included at no additional cost for all Unity subscribers, along with both seat and storage inclusions, for each subscription tier. Users or organizations will now need to pay for storage and seats above what is included in their subscription tier.
Unity Cloud Personal subscribers will be limited to the existing free tier of 10 GB for Asset Manager storage and will have access to 5 GB storage and 200 Windows build minutes for DevOps, without the ability to purchase more. Unity Cloud Personal subscribers who wish to add additional DevOps seats or consume more build minutes and/or storage can upgrade their DevOps subscription.
Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, and Unity Industry subscribers receive 1 seat of Unity Cloud for every seat of their Unity Editor subscription.
Unity Pro users will receive 50 GB of free storage per seat, pooled for the entire organization to use, while Unity Enterprise and Unity Industry subscribers will receive 120 GB of free storage per seat, pooled for the entire organization to use.
Organizations will need to manually opt in to consuming storage and seats above subscription tier limits. You will not be charged for anything until you opt in. You can opt in from the Unity Cloud storage page via your dashboard.
To understand your usage and determine your organization’s needs, view your storage and service consumption history in the Unity Cloud Dashboard for Unity Asset Manager here and for Unity DevOps here.
See the Unity Cloud Compare Plans page for more details on features and pricing.
Pay as you go allows users to use consumption services over their included tier limit. This applies to Unity Cloud storage, DevOps storage, and DevOps build minutes.
If you have a standalone Unity Cloud subscription, you can consume these services over your tier limits immediately.
If you have a Unity subscription, you will need to opt in to Pay as you go services before you can consume these services above your included tier limits. You can opt in by navigating to the storage page of your dashboard. Once you opt in, you can begin consuming services over your tier limits immediately; you will receive a monthly invoice for any usage over your tier limits.
To understand your usage and determine your organization’s needs, view your storage and service consumption history in the Unity Cloud Dashboard for Unity Asset Manager here and for Unity DevOps here.
We are rolling out the ability to opt in to Pay as you go in cohorts to existing customers. As a result, some users will see the option appear earlier than users in the later cohorts.
If you do not see the option to opt in to Pay as you go on April 22, please check back over the next few weeks to see when the option populates. Ungated early-access usage will continue uninterrupted until the option to opt in to Pay as you go has been added to your dashboard.
No, organizations that do not opt in to Pay as you go can continue using Unity Cloud storage and DevOps storage and build minutes within their subscription tier limits at no additional charge. They will not be able to use additional units of these services beyond what’s included in their subscription tier.

Unity Asset Manager FAQ
Unity Asset Manager is a digital asset management (DAM) system tailored for the rigors of 3D asset creation, embedded directly in the Unity Cloud Dashboard. With Unity Asset Manager, you can:
- Manage access to your assets with role-based access controls
- Use a suite of tools to manage, organize and discover your assets
- Reuse assets across Unity Editor project, keeping asset dependencies
- Upload assets from disk or index files from your Unity DevOps Version Control repositories
- Store assets in Unity Cloud storage (included capacity according to your subscription)
- Build your own integration with APIs and SDKs
- Use data transformation workflows to generate previews, extract 3D metadata or to generate an optimized version of large and complex models to stream at runtime on main platforms (Windows Standalone, Android, web, macOS, iOS, XR)

Yes. We support full role-based access control (RBAC) at the organization and project levels, enabling you to keep secure access to your valuable IP.
Organization Owners will have full access to all projects in their Organization by default.
If you’re an Organization Owner, you can invite other users, both inside and outside of your organization, to your projects. You can also assign them roles as Owners, Contributors, Consumers, or Viewers at both the organization and project levels. Note: At this time Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, and Unity Industry subscribers can have any role on a Unity Asset Manager project, regardless of their seat entitlements. In the near future, users will be adjusted to the level of project viewer permissions that matches their subscription/entitlement.

Unity DevOps FAQ
Unity DevOps is a modular DevOps solution developed to solve the unique challenges of creating real-time 3D experiences. The two main components of DevOps – Version Control and Build Automation – help automate workflows so you can build, test, and deliver higher-quality experiences to your customers with each new iteration.
Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, and Unity Industry subscribers receive:
- 1 DevOps seat per Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, or Unity Industry license
- 200 Windows build minutes and 5 GB of storage for project data per organization
Costs for additional seats, compute, storage, and concurrency will be charged on a consumption basis. View DevOps pricing.
Unity Personal and Unity Cloud Personal subscribers get three (3) seats per organization, 200 Windows build minutes, and 5 GB of storage for project data. Costs for additional seats, compute, storage, and concurrency will be charged on a consumption basis. View DevOps pricing.
If you already have Unity DevOps, seat allocations associated with Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, or Unity Industry will be applied incrementally to your existing count.
DevOps seats that are included with Unity Cloud are locked to the Unity Cloud license owner. For example, if your team holds 10 Unity Pro licenses, and 5 of your Unity Pro license holders also have existing DevOps licenses, your 5 DevOps seats will be assigned to your Unity Pro license holders. In the end, you will have: 10 DevOps seats from your Unity Pro subscriptions and 5 unassigned standalone DevOps seats.
A seat is not needed to use Unity DevOps Build Automation. To collaborate with teammates who do not need a Unity Editor subscription for Unity DevOps Version Control, you can purchase additional seats by subscribing to standalone Unity DevOps.
If you do not already have Unity DevOps, you will be granted a 1:1 DevOps seat allocation for every seat of Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, or Unity Industry that you currently have.
No, you may purchase standalone Unity DevOps seats at any time to allow teammates who do not need an Editor subscription to use Unity DevOps Version Control.
If you are a Unity Pro or Unity Enterprise customer
