Unity DevOps FAQ

Was ist Unity DevOps?

Unity DevOps is a modular DevOps solution developed to solve the unique challenges of creating real-time 3D experiences. The two main components of DevOps – Version Control and Build Automation – help automate workflows, so you can build, test, and deliver higher quality experiences to your customers with each new iteration.

What DevOps features will I get with my Unity subscription?

Subscribers to Unity Pro, Enterprise, and Industry receive:

  • 1 DevOps seat per Pro, Enterprise, or Industry license
  • 200 Windows build minutes and 5 GB of storage for project data per organization
  • Costs for additional seats, compute, storage, and concurrency will be charged upon consumption.*

Unity Personal and Unity Cloud Personal subscribers get three (3) seats per organization, 200 Windows build minutes, and 5 GB of storage for project data. Costs for additional seats, compute, storage, and concurrency will be charged upon consumption. View DevOps pricing.

*During the Cloud early access period, Unity Pro, Enterprise, and Industry subscribers new to DevOps will not be charged for exceeding tiers for storage or compute consumption of all machine types.

What if I already subscribe to Unity DevOps?

If you already have Unity DevOps, seat allocations associated with Unity Pro, Enterprise, or Industry will be applied incrementally to your existing count.

  • DevOps seats that are included with Unity Cloud are locked to the Unity Cloud license owner.
  • If your team holds 10 Unity Pro licenses, and 5 of your Unity Pro license holders also have existing DevOps licenses, your 5 DevOps seats will be assigned to your Pro license subscribers. In the end, you will have: 10 DevOps seats from your Unity Pro subscription and 5 unassigned standalone DevOps seats.

A seat is not needed to use DevOps Build Automation. To collaborate with teammates who do not need an Editor subscription in DevOps Version Control, you can purchase additional seats by subscribing to standalone DevOps.

For existing Pro, Enterprise, and Industry customers new to DevOps: While Unity Cloud is in early access, Unity Pro, Enterprise, and Industry subscribers who are also new to DevOps will not be charged for exceeding tiers for storage or compute consumption of all machine types. Subscribing to standalone DevOps will void your Cloud early access consumption privileges, and you will be charged at the standard rates for storage, compute, and concurrency.

If I have an Editor subscription, do I need to add more Editor seats to get more Unity DevOps seats?

No, you may purchase standalone DevOps seats at any time to allow teammates who do not need an Editor subscription to use DevOps Version Control.
