What is Stereoscopy?

Stereoscopy recreates natural depth perception by presenting slightly different images to each eye, allowing the brain to interpret spatial relationships in virtual environments similar to how we perceive the physical world through binocular vision.

How does Stereoscopy work?

In real-time 3D applications, stereoscopic techniques deliver two distinct images - one for each eye - typically through a Head-Mounted Display (HMD). When the brain processes these slightly offset images, it constructs a three-dimensional scene with authentic depth and perspective.
