
Unico Studio is a leading mobile game developer based in Palo Alto, California renowned for their popular puzzle titles including Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles, 2248, and Brain Test All Stars. Unico Studio wanted to acquire more high-value users for Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles and with Unity Ads powered by Vector, they were able to reach their KPIs while achieving incremental scale.

Increasing scale more than 4x and iOS installs 5-6x
When Unico Studio set out to optimize their Ad Revenue ROAS goals and unlock greater scale for their flagship title Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles, they worked closely with the Unity team to diversify their UA strategy. Vector’s advanced machine learning stack and data infrastructure helped Unico Studio accelerate growth and achieve greater scale by reaching new audiences of high-value users.
Baser shares, “With Unity Ads powered by Vector, we’ve been able to reach our KPIs while scaling. We’ve now seen a big shift in Unity Ads’ SOV. While other networks remained relatively stable, Unity Ads stood out with the most significant growth, making it a key driver in our overall campaign performance.”
Vector helped power significant growth for Unico Studio’s Ad Revenue ROAS campaigns. As a result, scale increased by more than 4x across both iOS and Android, CPI remained flat, and installs grew 5-6x on iOS and 2x on Android.*

Optimizing campaign performance to drive additional growth
In order to maximize performance, the Unity team provided tailored suggestions for expansion into new geos and across OS, target adjustments, and creative rotation strategies.
Baser adds, “The Unity team’s hands-on guidance helped us optimize campaign performance even further, ensuring we made the most of every new growth opportunity.”
While Unico Studio was already leveraging high-quality playables, most were limited to 1-3 touch interactions. The Unity team recommended testing longer-experience playables with 5-6 taps, which proved to resonate well with their audience and drive stronger campaign performance.
Additional recommendations included making strategic ROAS and budget adjustments when they hit their caps. By adopting these best practices, Unico Studio began to see measurable improvements in campaign efficiency and scale.
Launching new campaigns on Unity Ads powered by Vector
After seeing positive results with Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles, Unico Studio launched new campaigns in another hit title, Fake Island: Demolish!. Improved performance and broader reach to new audiences led them to increase their ad spend. Energized by these early successes, they now plan to work with the Unity team to expand Unity Ads campaigns to more titles in their portfolio.
