Bestows Top Honors on Submission Winners for Creating the Best Interactive Content on the Unity Platform

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - October 30, 2009

Today at the Unite conference, Unity Technologies, the leading provider of multi-platform game development for Web, PC, Mac, Wii™ and iPhone, announced the award winners of its third annual contest. This year, there were 129 submissions, twice the number of submissions last year, spanning four categories: Best Overall, Best iPhone Game, Best Visual Design and Best Technical Achievement; prizes totaled $9,500.

We’re continuing to see professional quality console content entries and entries that are a little more experimental, a little more arty,” said Nicholas Francis, Chief Creative Officer at Unity Technologies. “It's nice, people are pushing the envelope a bit more, and for us that's an exciting part of making a tool; there is this box that we think people are going to play in, and people break out of that and make content that leverages Unity technologies in amazing ways.”

The award winners in each category are:

About Unite, Unity Technologies’ Developer Conference

This year, the Unite conference featured a keynote by Richard Hilleman, Chief Creative Officer at Electronic Arts, and a special free to attend 1-day boot camp for Flash users to learn about transitioning to Unity in addition to a packed program of tutorials, technical sessions and hands on lab time.

Following Unity tradition, Unite has proven to be an event for making new business contacts, showing projects, making friends, and learning how to do stuff better.

Unite 2009 took place on October 27-30, 2009 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, California. For more information about Unite, visit https://unity3d.com/unite/.
