FAQ
UGS Analytics is a new service from Unity that is replacing the deprecated Legacy Unity Analytics. UGS Analytics gives studios the tools to understand performance and player behaviors through predefined dashboards, Data Explorer, and more.
Like most of the Unity Gaming Services portfolio, Analytics is free to start, with a payment model that scales based on usage as your game grows and your projects’ needs increase. See our full pricing model page for Unity Gaming Services to learn more. If you are using Unity Gaming Services you can see your current usage here.
As of June 22, 2022, the in-Editor, Legacy Unity Analytics service is closed to new projects. Current projects will continue to be able to access their data until December 31, 2022. Unity is migrating built-in Event data to the new UGS Analytics, which you can access in the Unity Dashboard.
To learn more about changes Unity has made to our analytics tools, including guides for project migration, please read this extended technical FAQ in our forum.
You can use UGS Analytics alongside all other Unity Gaming Services products. It’s able to act as a stand alone tool but is more powerful when used with our suite of products. For example, build audiences within Analytics and then target them with new offerings or run A/B tests within Player Engagement for your Remote Config campaigns.

Yes, a key benefit of the new Analytics service within UGS is that it is not limited to being used with the Unity engine. You can use it alongside your project of choice, with any engine.
