Get all project stakeholders on the same page

Design reviews take place throughout the entire lifecycle of a project. Without a shared, collaborative environment, it takes a lot of time and effort for decisions to get made. That’s where Unity Reflect Review comes in. Easily bring your design models into an immersive experience in AR and VR to facilitate interactive real-time design reviews.

How it works

With a link to the original BIM models, Unity Reflect Review enables you to collaborate in real-time. Bring Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, SketchUp, and Rhino projects into real-time 3D for multiuser collaboration and annotations on any device, anywhere.

Unity Reflect Review how it works

Key benefits

Identify mistakes earlier

Bring multiple models and their metadata together to facilitate more efficient collaboration with project stakeholders, catch mistakes early, and avoid costly rework.

Faster decision-making

Generate interactive, immersive experiences that are linked to the original design models in Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, SketchUp, and Rhino.

Multiuser collaboration

Drive alignment around design decisions with multiuser collaboration to avoid misunderstandings and errors. Share a project link to stakeholders and walk through the model together in Follow Mode, add annotations, and see what other users are seeing in real-time.

Any platform, anywhere

The ability to make changes to projects on-premise or in the cloud enables greater collaboration with users outside of your network. View large models on any device or platform, including VR, AR, iOS, Android, PC, and Mac.

Communicate design intent

Conduct sun studies, overlay models in 1:1 AR at scale (marker-based or tabletop), and filter BIM data to effectively communicate design intent to stakeholders.

Enable more aha moments

Create immersive, multiuser environments to perform collaborative project walkthroughs in VR and AR. Wow clients in VR or high-powered GPU desktop applications with high-definition graphics.

Ben Lillywhite, Architect, P+HS Architects

"With Unity Reflect Review, stakeholders are able to visualize the designs a lot easier, and physically walk around the space and interact with them."

Adam Farooq, Lead XR Developer, Valerio Dewalt Train

“It integrates with the software we already use like Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, and SketchUp, maintains a live connection to the original models, and allows our clients and collaborators to see changes in real-time in AR and VR.”

Frequently asked questions

What are the system requirements for Unity Reflect?

The system requirements vary based on the model complexity and rendering quality. For details, see our System Requirements page.

Do I need the Unity Editor to use Unity Reflect Review?

No, Unity Reflect Review is a standalone application that can be used without the Unity Editor.

Which versions of Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Rhino does Unity Reflect Review support?

Unity Reflect Review supports:

  • The 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 releases of Revit
  • The 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 releases of Navisworks
  • The 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022  releases of SketchUp
  • Versions 6 and 7 of Rhino
  • Version 24/25 of ArchiCAD
When I try to open a project in the app, I get a “Permission Denied” error. Why is this happening?

This error usually means that you don’t have a valid license attached to your account. Most commonly, this happens when a user redeems a license, but forgets to assign themselves a seat. Please refer to the Unity Reflect documentation page or the Unity page on assigning seats.

Is Unity Reflect Review a cloud-based product?

Yes, Unity Reflect Review uses the cloud for extra processing power and so you can share projects. Only derived data (geometry, materials, metadata) is sent to our cloud, never your files (.rvt, .skp, etc.).

What is the difference between Unity Reflect Review and Unity Reflect Collaborate?

Unity Reflect Collaborate licenses can be used anonymously. If a user joins a project without logging in, a Unity Reflect Collaborate license from the organization in which the project lives will be automatically assigned to them, and released when they leave.

A Unity Reflect Collaborate license does not allow users to publish models or leave annotations. When a presentation is started, Unity Reflect Collaborate users will be forced to follow along, whereas Unity Reflect Review users can choose not to join.

Who needs a license for Unity Reflect Review?

Anyone who authors a 3D model needs a Unity Reflect Review license. Authoring includes creating a model, modifying it within design tools (Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, etc.), and loading it to a viewing environment for stakeholder review and feedback.

Who needs a license for Unity Reflect Collaborate?

Temporary users who do not frequently need to view projects or publish any data to a Unity Reflect Reflect project.

How does a designer/architect assign Unity Reflect Collaborate seats? Do you offer floating seats?

When you share a model by way of “link sharing,” any available Unity Reflect Collaborate seats will be automatically assigned to the user. A best practice is to manage your seat assignments to ensure you have full control over who has access to your model.

Is Unity Reflect an open source product?

No. We give subscribers access to our app’s source code through Unity Reflect Develop, but you cannot make contributions to the source code.
