Unity Opto receives LED orders from major US home appliance vendor

Taiwan-based LED maker Unity Opto Technology has received orders from one of the top three US home appliances vendors, with annual shipments of ten million units for lighting, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times.

Shipments will start in mid-October and the shipments will generate NT$500 million (US$15.2 million) a year for the LED maker, the paper said.
